About the farm

Haydown Farm was purchased in 1947 by James and Frances Brooks as a quiet home to come back to after their long adventures overseas.  Over the years it has changed from just another small farm surrounded by other agriculture to an island of rural tranquility surrounded by the suburbs of Washington, DC.
